Eligibility (Who can take part in the programme?)

If your child is eligible for free school meals (based on income), they can take part in the HAF programme.  This is different from the Universal Infant Free School Meals offered by the government for Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 children. Only children eligible for income-related free school meals can join the HAF programme.

Benefits-related free school meals are available to children, if as a parent/carer you are receiving one of the qualifying benefits listed on the Gov.uk website and have had your claim verified by your child's school or local authority. You can check your eligibility and how to apply for free school meals on the gov.uk website.

Some activities may have age restrictions, so please check when booking.

How to sign up and book activities

All eligible children and young people need to be signed up and registered on the Rutland HAF website and booking system to take part.

To join, sign up on the Rutland HAF website.  Click above on the tab 'Register a Child' to get started.  If you're not sure how to sign up, check out our Frequently Asked Questions page.

If you have previously registered please log-on and update you and your child‘s personal information, your emergency contact and your email address.

A few weeks before each holiday period begins, a letter will be sent via your child's school with details of the activities available and instructions on how to book.
